We are in Xi'an! I have my own hotel room, Brian and Brad are in one, and then Maj and Faj are in one. It's rather wonderful. Slept like a baby last night. Hahahaha.
Today was already a huge day and it's not even over yet! We got up and ate breakfast (quite delicious and expansive), then met Abby (our lovely tour guide) in the lobby at 8:30, and shot off to the Terracotta Warrior Factory (where they reproduce the guys and their horses), and then to the actual Terracotta Warriors Museum and massive exhibit. SO cool. I will post pictures when we get home because I don't have much time, but they're sweet. Trust me. It's amazing how many of them are in there and how they're all different (their faces and clothing and hair and everything...unreal!).
After that we headed to The Big White Goose Pagoda which was exciting and large. Then the city wall (it surrounds Xi'an and we got to go on a super fun golf cart ride), then we went to the bell tower and drum tower, the market place right quick, and now we're back at the hotel for a little rest before a dumpling dinner and some sort of a performance. Who knows.
Our driver is sweet. But I have never experienced such a bumpy ride. Brian and I are just flopping around in the back seat (and it's really cool because the van has FOUR rows of seats! :) )...good stuff.
The hotel rooms smell a little bit funky, but mine smells pretty close to normal...hehehehe. Bam.
Onward and upward.
We're coming home tomorrow. Look out. I believe we fly into Grand Rapids around 10 p.m. (after leaving here for Shanghai at 10 a.m.) and then we have quite a drive to get HOME home. Don't expect an update for a couple days!
Thanks for reading!! :) And for commenting as well...haha.
